Is it love or attraction? This question is asked more often than not! Knowing the answer could make relationships a bit easier to navigate. It also ties into the concept of "love at first sight." Some people believe that love at first sight is real and happens every day; however, I personally do not subscribe to this idea. I believe that when someone thinks it's love at first sight, it's actually just attraction. Clarifying this distinction could help us more than we realize.

To help you answer this question, I listed six signs to help you identify whether it's love or simply attraction. Once you read the six signs of each, you can judge your relationship.

Love

♥ It is a slow process. "Not at fight sight."

♥ It creates trust and bonding.

♥ The fights in love, they solve.

♥ Love grows friendship.

♥ Love is silent.

♥ Love is a healing process.

After reading those six brief signs of love, how do you feel? Do you still believe it's love? Do one or two of these signs resonate with your relationship, while the others do not? Now, let's examine the signs that indicate it is simply attraction.

Attraction

♥ It happens in the twinkling of an eye.

♥ Creates jealousy and possession.

♥ Fights, you make big deals out of it.

♥ Attraction grows with desire.

♥ It is loud and shows off.

♥ Leads to self-destruction.

How do you feel about your relationship after considering both indicators of love and attraction? You are the best judge of where your relationship stands. Is it love, moving toward love, or is it simply attraction-either on your part, their part, or both? Whatever the case may be, I hope this helps you gain clarity about the current state of your relationship and its potential future.
