Love Others But Love Yourself More

In our busy lives, we often neglect activities that bring us joy while impacting our emotional and physical well-being. It's important to prioritize our health, even amidst our hectic schedules. Sometimes it's hard to figure out where to begin or find the time to do so. Here are a few simple suggestions to help enhance your overall well-being.

For your physical health, make time to exercise regularly, even if it's just for five minutes a day. You could take a short walk. Remember to try to eat healthy meals, which can be hard if you're always on the go or not at home much. You could try dried fruit snacks. Try to stay hydrated and drink water throughout the day. We all love our coffee, soda, energy drinks, etc., but make sure to add water to your routine. Lastly, try to get enough sleep. I know this is a hard one, even for myself. But if we don't get the right amount of sleep, it can affect our whole life and our day. Not only that, if we mess up one of these things, it can mess with our moods and we end up taking things out of those we love.

For the sake of your "Mental Health," there are a few things you could try. In today's busy world, it's important to take care of our mental well-being. You could try incorporating meditation into your daily routine, even if it's just a few minutes at your desk at work. Another helpful practice is to focus on positive thinking, concentrating on the good things in life. Indeed, things may not always go as planned, and if you're anything like me, things don't always go smoothly. However, it's important to find a positive angle in challenging situations. For example, "If you didn't get a job you applied for, you could consider that there might be an even better opportunity out there for you." Set small, attainable goals for yourself. Don't set yourself up for failure by aiming for something that's out of your reach.

Don't forget to prioritize your "Social Health". Our social lives are important, so make sure to spend time with your family and friends doing things you enjoy. Even on your day off, if you feel like just lounging around, try to get out and see someone. Connecting with people we care about can make us feel a lot better at the end of the day.

Don't forget to relax, take a break, or catch your breath. Sometimes, our lives can get so hectic that we don't know which way to turn. We may feel like the world is spinning too fast, and we can't keep up with it all. If all fails, my go-to is to "stop, get offline, and take a "me day." Enjoy the outdoors, reflect on your life, think about what you like and what you would like to change. Sometimes, this is all we need to open our eyes and start anew.
